We have welcomed some of our Year 1 children back into school these last 2 weeks and we are very proud of how they have coped with our new arrangements. They have stayed in their bubbles and enjoyed a whole range of different activities, linked to the theme of ‘space’, including phonics, handwriting, playdough, counting and solving maths problems, various art and science projects and lots of stories and singing. Their time in school culminated in making space rockets and coming together, at a social distance, in the playground to sing and perform the songs, stories and poems.
It has been lovely to see their smiley faces and hear them playing, it seems that school is beginning to get its heart back. The staff have worked incredibly hard to make sure that every child’s experience of school at this time has been positive and enjoyable and we look forward to welcoming all the children back in September.
