Leigh North Street Primary School has an additional inclusion provision – The Cove.
This specialist provision is designed to provide a calm environment for children who may require additional support in developing speech, language and communication needs. Children accessing this space remain very much part of their mainstream class, accessing the same learning opportunities as their peers.
This short-term provision will offer some of our younger children the necessary tools and strategies to prepare them for mainstream school and ultimately joining their mainstream year group classroom full time. Children attending The Cove will have access to this provision through an individual, tailored timetable.
LNSPS celebrates our whole school approach to inclusion. The Cove will further ensure children can build on communication and interaction skills.
