Led by Miss Goyette, our learning mentor, The Harbour is a supportive and inclusive provision designed to meet the needs of pupils. Through targeted interventions that help students develop the emotional literacy, resilience and self regulation skills needed to succeed both in school and beyond.
A key aspect of the provision is the use of the Zones of Regulation framework, which supports pupils in recognising, understanding and managing their emotions. Through regular check ins, reflection opportunities and practical strategies, pupils learn how to identify their emotional state, develop coping mechanisms and make positive choices that support their learning and wellbeing.
The provision also offers an alternative entrance in the mornings for children that need a quieter, softer start to the school day. Helping children to build confidence and reduce anxiety associated with attending school, and to establish positive routines that promote successful reintegration into learning. If you feel like your child may benefit from this, please contact the office via parentmail.
Pupils are encouraged to explore their strengths, values, interests and aspirations in a safe learning environment. A strong sense of belonging is fundamental to wellbeing and achievement and planned interventions ensure that every student feels valued respected and included.
